Terms and Conditions (Term Courses)
Last Updated: 16th June, 2023

We try to be as flexible as possible but we do have a few Terms and Conditions. Let us know if you have any questions.
Course fees are payable through our automated payment system on our website, by direct bank transfer, credit or debit card or by cheque. A confirmation email will be sent to you once your payment has been processed. Full payment or a deposit of £100 is required to secure a place on a course. Payment of any outstanding balance is required at least 2 weeks before the term commences.
  1. Those cancelling 6 weeks or more before the course start date are entitled to a full refund less a £30 admin fee.
  2. Cancellations made between 2 and 6 weeks before the course start date are entitled to a full refund less £100.
  3. Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the course start date are non-refundable.
  4. All cancellation requests must be made in writing.
  5. Fees cannot be transferred to future terms unless agreed to by Art Classes For Me.
  6. It is very rare that we have to cancel a course and we reserve the right to do so. If this should happen you will be refunded 100% of the course fees (including deposits) with no administration charge.
We will follow the latest government advice for further/higher education classes. In the event that a class is not allowed to go ahead for reasons that are outside of our control, such as a lockdown, we will give you notice as soon we are aware of the problem. We would provide online classes as an alternative and no refund can be given.
We reserve the right to make changes to the course curriculum as may be necessary.
We don’t supply art materials for our courses. You will need to buy your own, and a full materials list will be provided once you book onto your course.
We provide digital copies of everything you need for the course via the website, and you can print out the handouts, reference material etc ready for class. We will help you in accessing these materials if you are unsure about technology. The handouts are the sole intellectual property of ‘Art Classes For Me’ and may not be copied or reproduced. We reserve the right to use images from our classes to showcase our courses for marketing purposes. Please let us know in writing if you would like to opt out of this.
Details of course venues are listed on our website and included with course details. We reserve the right to make reasonable course venue changes if needed, and any such change will be notified to you in writing. A change in venue does not entitle you to any refund of course fees, whether in part or in full.
Please aim to be punctual - classrooms and online meetings will be ready 15 minutes before class starts. Please try to arrive about this time so you are relaxed and ready to learn.
We maintain the right to dismiss any student who acts inappropriately in the classroom. Any dismissal and resulting booking cancellation will not be eligible for any refund nor credit for this booking.
We strongly advise you to commit to coming to all classes if possible. In the event that you are not able to attend a lesson you can attend at another venue or online, though you must inform us beforehand so we can set your place up. If this is not possible, you can catch up by watching a video to recap lessons you have missed. You can then complete the lesson at home and bring your work in for feedback the following week. We may not have time to recap everything you have missed.
If you miss one or more sessions during the term due to sickness or holidays, you will still need to pay for the sessions as the space has been held for you. You will therefore not be entitled to a fee reduction or credit for the missed classes.
Please wear old clothes or aprons. We are not responsible for any damage to student’s clothing.
Our courses are open to all adults 18 years or over.
Please use common sense. We aim to provide a safe learning environment to reduce the risk of injury. Please let us know if you have any health needs we need to be aware of before the start of the classes.
The Christchurch venue has a stair lift to the classroom. Our Bournemouth venue is on the ground floor and is wheelchair accessible. If you have a disability or need we should know about, please inform us and we will support you as best we can.
